Genomics/Transcriptomics Analysis Core (GTAC)
The Genomics/Transcriptomics Analysis Core (GTAC) is a centralized molecular biology facility operated by the Department of Biology and supported by the College of Science and Engineering (CoSE).
GTAC provides shared instrumentation, standardized workflows, and structured training to support genomics-based research and instruction.
GTAC operates as a self-service research facility. Registered users perform their own laboratory work following required onboarding and instrument-specific training.
GTAC does not function as a drop-off or fee-for-service laboratory and does not perform in-house sequencing.
GTAC supports research training and independent faculty research within the Department of Biology and supports a large and active research community across multiple programs within the SFSU research environment.
