This study examines how social media platforms influence perceptions of career advice, focusing on perceived trust, usefulness, and users’ intentions to reuse the platform for career advice in the future. Using a mixed design, participants are randomly assigned to view career advice videos that vary by platform and source condition.
Data collection has been completed; however, analyses have not yet been conducted. Results will evaluate differences across platforms, pre-post changes, and the impact of source type on user perceptions and behavioral intentions.
It is expected that videos with higher credibility will lead to greater trust and stronger intentions to reuse the platform in the future, with variation across platforms.
Findings may help pave the way for future research aimed at better understanding the emerging generation and their relationship with the information they receive through social media.
