This study presents a redesigned rear suspension system for Datsun S30 chassis vehicles (240Z, 260Z, 280Z) to address handling, safety, and structural issues. The new design features a Z-Bar for improved camber control and a fully welded subframe to enhance rigidity. Key upgrades include replacing bolted joints with welded connections, upgrading half shafts to CV axles, and using bolt-on hubs for safety. High-strength AISI 4140 and 4340 steel ensure durability and weight efficiency while maintaining chassis compatibility. The redesign effectively resolves stock suspension limitations, offering a robust, high-performance solution for enthusiasts.
