Engineering students are frequently taught that they are to consider the welfare of the public above all other issues; however, there has not been a lot of research about young engineers’ understanding of social and ethical responsibilities. This project focuses on analyzing interviews of early-career engineers about their perceptions of engineering ethics and social responsibility using the Critical Incident Technique method. In this study, it was found that young professional engineers often experience ethical challenges and learn from these experiences which help them grow as individuals. In addition, this work also features case studies method of young professional engineers’ ethical experiences in their workplace.
