As inflation rises, so do food prices and the amount of hours worked required to acquire your food. Furthermore, there is less and less space for the production of food in major cities where food demand and waste is highest. With the way that our economy is going it would not be unreasonable to think that we will soon find ourselves in another recession and unable to purchase luxury items like gourmet mushrooms.
