We study the localization of light in a two-dimensional system consisting of disordered arrays of hybrid plasmonic waveguides. Mode coupling in waveguides of a particular degree of disorder is explored to predict the localization of mode profiles in these disordered systems. By analyzing the coupling of surface plasmon-polaritons with propagating modes in dielectric waveguides, we aim to create a parameter based heuristic for understanding the phenomenon of Anderson localization in these disordered waveguide arrays.
