The goal of this project is to design a small scale structural model that behaves like a flexible building and to integrate an active damping system that reduces its oscilallations. This project is motivated by growing importance of smart structures and control systems in civil and mechanical engineering. By combining structural dynamics with embedded control, the system demonstrates how relatively simple hardware can significantly improve stability.
