My project focuses on studying the atmosphere of Ross 458C, a brown dwarf in the binary system Ross 458, located in the constellation Virgo. I will perform atmospheric retrievals and forward modeling to fit my models to the observed data. The analysis will include running a low-resolution spectrum and exploring seven types of cloud types and cloud species on two computational clusters, Pleiades and Mendel. Ultimately, I will compare these results with high-resolution models of the same cloud type and cloud species to determine which approach best matches the observed data, enhancing our understanding of Ross 458C and brown dwarf atmospheres in general.
