Air quality has become a significant health concern in urban areas, and exposure to these pollutants can lead to long-term health effects. Our project aims to create a public utility that can be installed along sidewalks, highways, parks, etc. to filter these pollutants. Our design is a utility box containing a series of HEPA filters and fans designed for wildfire smoke and small particulate matter. The HEPA filters are primarily for airborne particles found in smoke and smog, down to 2.5 microns in size. Our project is equipped with real-time air quality monitoring to optimize energy consumption and filtering efficiency.
