Our goal in this project is simply to design and build a timber wood bridge, and to make it as sturdy as possible, while also being safe, reliable, and sustainable. We have decided to construct our bridge with the constraints in accordance to the rules and regulations provided by the 2015 National Timber Bridge Design Competition. The ease of cost and availability was one of the main reasons the National Timber Bridge Design Competition was created. The competition was to design and eventually use the timber bridges for rural America. With a well funded project we can produce a bridge that will be a practical solution that is environmentally safe and cost effective.
