Nine CoSE students were named Sally Casanova Scholars by the California State University this year, out of 74 awardees in the CSU system. The scholarship program, also known as the Pre-Doctoral Program, supports students with doctoral ambitions, providing funding for professional development activities and application and testing costs. Scholars also receive mentorship from a faculty member as they prepare to apply for doctoral programs. See below for a list of recipients in CoSE. The awardees were also noted in a story on the SF State News site, with a special focus on biology graduate student Steven Sun. Congratulations to all of the recipients!
