The Department of Engineering’s SF Scholars program launched with its first cohort of four students in the Fall 2019 semester. The program combines a B.S. in Civil Engineering with an M.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Structural and Earthquake Engineering, allowing students to take an accelerated path toward earning both degrees — and providing more opportunities in industry and in academia when they graduate, as master’s degrees are increasingly required for entry-level positions in the field.

Several Engineering faculty members also serve as mentors, supporting students as they move through the program. To learn more about the program and its requirements, visit the Division of Graduate Studies website.
