Katharyn Boyer elected as a California Academy of Sciences Fellow

Congratulations to Professor of Biology Professor of Biology Katharyn Boyer, who was elected as a Fellow of the California Academy of Sciences on May 15! Boyer will be one of 14 distinguished scientists receiving the honor this year, and will be officially inducted in October. The Academy Fellows are a group of 450 distinguished scientists and other leaders who have made notable contributions to science or science education and communication. 

Boyer has been a professor at SF State since 2004, and her research and restoration work focuses on the ecology of salt marshes and eelgrass beds.
