CoSE Student’s Project Aims to Speed Up the Hunt for Extraterrestrial Life

Are we alone in the universe?

It’s a question some scientists have dedicated their lives to. And Physics and Astronomy major Andrew Garcia’s work this summer with the SETI Institute aims to ensure that future seekers of extraterrestrial life have a clear picture of where to look next. The web-based tool he helped develop, called Technosearch, records where, when and how scientists have searched patches of the sky to ensure that no stone remains unturned.
