SF State lead testing research featured in the SF Examiner and ABC

The San Francisco Examiner and ABC7 both covered ongoing work by students at SF State to test lead levels in East Oakland. Last spring, they found lead levels surpassing EPA limits in a number of locations, from playground soil to dust and water in homes. This semester, they’ll be repeating the study at the same hotspots and sampling new locations. The work is a collaboration with the Life Academy high school in Oakland, and is supported by SF Build.
