Grades

 

Good Academic Standing: Undergraduate students with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or above are in Good Academic Standing.

 

Probation: Undergraduate students with a cumulative and/or SF State GPA of less than 2.0 will be placed on probation. Students placed on probation have 2 semesters to bring their GPA to a 2.0 or above or they will be disqualified. See the Registrar’s website for more information on probation and disqualification.

 

Grade Options: students can elect to take a course either for a letter grade (A/B/C/D/F) or for Credit - No Credit (C/NC). Courses taken for Credit/No Credit will not impact GPA, however, there is a limit the amount of units that can be taken Credit/No Credit. Refer to the Bulletin for more information.
